Traditional Osteopathic Medicine for the Whole Family
My passion lies in discovering what truly heals people. I specialize in diet, lifestyle, counseling, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), herbs, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and other natural medicines. By integrating my training in alternative medicine, science, and conventional medicine, I aim to help your body, mind, and spirit heal as a unified whole.
I am fortunate to have been immersed in natural medicine from birth, learning about healing from my father, a naturopath. This early education predated the popularization of concepts like integrative and functional medicine. It was crucial in my understanding of science, which clearly demonstrates that lifestyle is the most effective way to cure people, despite most doctors lacking the time or knowledge to teach it. My natural curiosity led me to seek information, attend lectures, and participate in conferences about lifestyle and diseases. I was deeply involved in research during my undergraduate studies and my Master of Public Health, where I focused my thesis on nutrition. Becoming an osteopathic doctor allowed me to master both conventional medicine and the art of osteopathic manipulation (OMT).
What sets me apart is my belief that true health can be achieved in harmony with nature, without relying on medications or even herbs. Most medical specialties focus on using external agents to treat conditions, often neglecting lifestyle as a primary therapy. One extreme relies solely on pharmaceuticals, while the other—often called “green allopathy”—uses herbs as natural substitutes for pills. However, these are still pills. Many modern osteopathic doctors also depend on drugs, adding OMT to their allopathic repertoire.
I hold a different perspective. Nature provides powerful, temporary medicines that can be very helpful. However, in the long term, true health comes from a nutrient-dense diet and a balanced lifestyle. My approach emphasizes achieving and maintaining health by living in harmony with nature, ensuring that your body can thrive on its own without perpetual reliance on external treatments.
